How do you promote adult websites?

Most directories won't accept link submissions so they're low on pagerank, press releases usually don't accept adult content as well...so how do you go about promoting an adult website?

 

TGP galleries are great for promoting individual pages on your site.....to test it out, i made one page, submited it to a tgp gallery, and in 2 days i had around 4000 unique visitors, and this is just from ONE source, and didnt take much time to make

of course, it wasnt converting so i took my business elsewhere, but there is a whoreload of webmasters that do well with it, so it's worth a try

 

Thats why i left that business, it just takes too much to make a dime.
You need a sh*tload of traffic to make bank.

But to get some starting traffic for your site, you can submit it to porndirectory.com, freesexcentral.com, booble.com and various linkdumps.
And like Eves say, make galleries and advertise your own site on them.
Make it a clean looking gallery (Not too many banners) and submit it to thehun.net and start praying it will get listed. thehun.net has close to 4 million unique visitors per day, so watch your BW bill
I had a few galleries listed there, I got up to 25000 visitors per hour on a gallery.

Its so hard to sell these days, why should people buy access to adult stuff when there is gazillions of free pics and movies on the net already.

BUT kendoth, it is not impossible to get success in the adult business.
I know dating sponsors convert very well these days. I still have 2 year old freesites doing signups, and i didnt touch them since i build them.

When it comes to adult, you can't expect to jump in and make money. Its as hard as mainstream. People think adult is easy but its not. I suggest you pick a niche and learn everything about it, in the end you'll be much more profitable. Go to pornresource.com for infos.

A. buy textlinks on adultsites from the AdBrite directory

and/or

B. get into the 'AdBrite Network Ads' section (High - Includes ads for adult sites and ads with strong language)

with millions of pageviews

 

It seems that the adult market is just as competative as any other. Due to the nature of TGPs, you'll need a large allocation of bandwidth, even if just for hosting a gallery. Unless you can employ bandwidth limits so that your bill doesn't become a small fortune?

Be self journalist, the blogging is good alternate of Press release sites.
