How do you point one folder to another on Unix

I'm trying to create a link from one director to another on a unix server. Basically duplicating the content of one directory in a different place on the server without actually copying the content over.

The "ln" command that makes links seems to only work for files. Does anyone know what the command is to do this with directories?

    thanks :)

    Try ln -s /orig/path /linked/path
