    As a family we spend
    most of the day
    preparing the house by
    cleaning and decorating
    it before the evening
    party begins. The evening
    party is a welcomed
    excuse for family and
    friends to come together,
    enjoy a varied and
    plentiful selection of
    flavoursome Indian
    dishes and dance the
    night away. The house
    becomes a beacon of
    light and merriment full
    of laughter, music and
    fireworks that mark the
    celebration that usually
    falls between Halloween
    and Guy Fawkes Night.

    It is festival of Lights and crackers as US people celebrate Christmas and new year we celebrate Diwali and tomorrow is our new year. This whole week most of part of India is busy in celebration. Festival comes in this way
    Diwali - that is today We Light up our house with Diya(oil lamp) and play with Crackers and made Rangoli
    New Year     - It is next day of Diwali as per Hindu Calendar (Tithi) our year starts from this day) New Cloths, Meet all relatives, lots of new food and many other things
    Bhai Dooj - The next day of new year on this day girls who are married invite their brothers to their home for Lunch or Dinner & their borther give them gift in return.
    Next 2 days are empty but people go to meet relatives which are far away.
    Labh Pancham - It is fifth day after Diwali all businesses start again from this day. This is an auspicious day to start business again.
