ranking in msn is quite easy...
just work on your back links and keyword density...base on my experience keyword density really works on msnsearch..
but in google it is a different thing...

ok i do this in my MFA sites base on my experience it works in msn and even yahoo...

    title

"Primary targeted keywords - Whatever what you want to put - secondary targeted keywords"

    description

" Primary targeted keywords : Whatever what you want to put secondary targeted keywords. blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah"

guys you should convince search engine and humans....
so make sure your title and description is catchy to humans and search engines...

    hopefully this helps...

Why would you want to optimize for MSN? Does anyone get any significant amount of traffic from MSN these days?
Unless you are running a SEO business and have to show the client that you got them a good MSN standing.

See this is where the problem comes in

Links by the bucket load work for MSN

But for Google they'll hurt morr than help unless done over time....

So which do people want more.?

    great rankings on Google???

    Or great rankings on MSN??

Best to SEO for Google and the other two will fall into place...it is very simple to do effectively and without link spam

    Peace
