Putting a nofollow in the meta is great if you have a links page, but if you want to nofollow individual links you need to put the rel="nofollow" in. Otherwise if you put index, nofollow in the meta, every link, external and internal will be nofollow. At least that's the way I understand it.
After I posted this I realized that this is actually most likely incorrect and when you put an index, nofollow in the meta of a page, the bot will just consider that PAGE ONLY a nofollow. Sorry if I have confused anyone lol
Here's a trick. Get some guys to sign up as moderators. People lllove to be forum moderators. You will get two kills with a single bullet: *Your new moders will do the job for you *They will boast to other guys thus increasing your readership I agree with folks advising against nofollow. If you have a limited budget and make a nofollow forum, you're just making a nice coffin for all your web dreams. Even big companies struggle to get people into the forums. You stand no chance with nofollow.
