Use a service like aweber or 1shoppingcart please. You will have a lot more protection that way.

You can use sendblaster, vallen emailer, atomic mail sender and the other differnt type of programs for your email marketing. If you are interested in having email list of thousands of email ids then you can use the program Acute Email IDs Production Engine.

    Hi Vince,

It might be better to find a bulk email company to send out to some double opt-in folks

This is much safer ... do a small test first

    Best Regards

How do these programs work (listed above)?

    sendblaster, vallen emailer, atomic mail

I tried something like this a while back, but there was a problem with my ISP - because it had to use my mail server.

Is there any way around this?

I am using SENDBLASTER along with SMTP.COM service. It works fine and all mail reach to INBOX. GMail BCC works for daily 50 emails well.

Even though you may send upto 50 mail from Gmail BCC, All your mails are not guaranteed to go into your customers InBox.

mass messaging through personal mail services like gmail, yahoo etc is not allowed and is considered as SPAM too. In gmail, you can only send upto 500 e-mails and then your email account will be in hold for some time/days before sending more emails out. The only way to send Mass email is to use Email Marketing Software (where you can send bulk emails even the number is in thousands or millions), but one thing you should keep in mind that is all of your contacts/emailing lists are legit (opt-in contacts) otherwise it will be considered as SPAM and it may be in result to block your account/email ID.

And I do use Comm100 Email marketing software to send emails to my opt-in contacts. You can also have some tips on Email marketing.

It is always a good idea to contact your email account provider and ask about the email send rate, before proceeding with a mass email campaign.

    Hello

I would suggest you use an autoresponder if you want to mass email and be protected as well. Aweber are known for having one of the best autoresponder services. They aren't free, the cost is 20$/month but the first month you use it charges only 1$. I personally use aweber and have had no problem whatsoever.

There you can manage different email lists, send pre-written emails and lots more.

All I'm saying is that using an autoresponder service makes sending hundreds of emails easy for you.

I hope you found this helpful

Sending mass emails will get you in trouble with your ISP or host.
Your best bet is using an autoresponder service like Aweber or Getresponse, and if you aleady have a list, they will have to re-subscribe again, and most won't

It's a much better idea to get a autoresponder service to take care of this for you. Like has been mentioned, you could end up getting in trouble. I like Aweber and iContact, but there are other great options out there and most of them offer a free or very cheap first month.

If you want a free mailing list provider, phplist is a way to go. Anyhow, you want to it to be a professional look autoresponder and you can do so by customizing it. For example, you want a custom thank you page, custom confirmation page etc. Most importantly, you need to embed phplist subscribe form on your web pages. Last but not least it easily can be done with few simple steps. To see a demo on customized phplist you can go to phplistmod.com
