Thought it would be interesting to get specifics on how people market their site... Specifics. Some ideas: 1: How do you use the social bookmarking sites? Do you digg you content yourselves? Do you stumble your own sites? 2: Do you publish content you wouldn't have, if it wasn't for the need to market the site: just so you have something to submit to article directories or in fear of loosing ground on SERPs. 3: How often do you send out press releases, and what would make you send one out? 4: How much money do you use for AdSense and the equivalent. What makes you spend excatly this amount? 5: Keep going - or stop.
1) Yes I use social bookmarking on my sites 2) No I have not 3) I haven't tried this method yet.. not sure if it's suitable for my niche at all 4) I use almost 75% of my earnings back into my site.. (mainly for building the site , hosting & domains)
I don't do Digg, because that's not my niche. I stumble those pages on my site that someone else has already entered into stumble. Gives those pages that extra boost. You can't submit too many pages off the same domain or your account will get flagged. No. Never. Not my niche. None. You mean adwords by the way. Adsense is the forum for people who publish sites. Adwords is for advertisers. I use a newsletter to keep my most faithful visitors appraised of what's going on. It's small, but I'm sure it makes a bit of difference.
