I promote for affiliates, and for pay-per-click places that don't give a shit how the clicks come in, so long as they're quality. And I use Realistic SEO. I'm not promoting sites to earn the love, trust, and respect of every little internet kid. I'm here to promote. Which means I'll use anything on that list as a part of an SEO strategy, and anything else that won't end with my ass being chucked into jail. It's all traffic, it's all backlinks, it's all SEO.

Eh I feel like everyone is giving better responses than mine(although I contend mine was catchier), so I'll give my specific setup. Ingredients: 2 Funnel Sites 1 Content Site 1 Link Spammer Lots of Time Procedure: 1)Set up 2 funnel sites as cloaking scraper sites with different templates. 2)Link spam the hell out of 2 funnel sites, rapid search engine growth. Redirect all SE traffic to content site. 3)Content site gets ran through social bookmarks, multiple accounts. Use my own naughty trick to get the social bookmark profiles ranked up in google 4)Submit content site to directories 5)By the time funnel sites are banned, content site has organic links, and is ranking high(people saw it from the funnel sites, linked to it) 6)??? 7)Profit!
Those could work, but you better be promoting your own product. Adsense/Affiliate deals will simply not be worthwhile. As a cheaper alternate, go to college towns and put up flyers. Is there a pedestrian bridge on campus? Masking tape it to the ground. Relevant stores? Ask permission to put some in the store. If not, drop em on the ground outside(of course, put em organized initially to avoid some idiot cop hitting you for littering)
