How do you market multiple sites?

How do you market multiple sites? I hear a lot of people spending 1-2 years marketing just one site, and never getting anywhere,
then you hear someone that claims they have 100+ sites making money...marketing just one site can absorb so much of your time, much less 100 sites?

so whats the best way to market multiple sites?

Link all of them with each other.

Then in designing stages just do one at a time.

dscurlock, I am doing such multiplicity, but even here I would say - performing just one very good website is better than making 1000 ordinary sites.

If to forget philosofy, you need more automated techniques techniques and tooling (sometimes your own ones) to be successful with multiple websites:
    - keyword and position trackers
    - auto analyzer of your position trends, to be able to react
    - auto analyzer of your webstats
    - content spinner or writer
    - link development helpers/tools

All these would help, but they are not definitive. Having multiple sites imposes a potentially fruitful trade-off: you get your attention and effort dispersed, however, if you manage it well, you might obtain your own empire of websites, empowering the possibilities in promotion those websites further on. There are a lot of schemes to become available then.

It is just as a strategy game then: lots of fun, but sleepless nights ;-)

George I mean like have a side medu that says affiliate sites and list them there or so.

I also think you can have a lot of blogs or websites that you can publish content with rss feeds or so. That makes everything auto.

In my personal opinion, pure 'auto' will never bring you a serious profit. Only things done with heart and spirit may bring a substantial outcome.

One of the key ways successful marketers manage multiple sites is through outsourcing. By hiring others who are experts at taking care of specific processes, one person can build a business with multiple sites, much like a brick and mortar business owner can open more than one location.

Break your sites into reasonably sized groups. Pick a day to do one task for all of your sites. So for example, spend one day building followers on twitter for all your accounts, or another day forum posting for that group of sites.

The key is to set goals and track your progress.

You can make a link wheel or do article marketing strategies using your articles from your site. You can use any spinner. But what I use is something decent and free too, It is easyarticlespinner.net

FTR, I am a writer at heart, so you can take my comments and do what you like with them.

But basically, I think writing is something that should be done by a human, and preferably one with an extremely strong command of the language. People who are looking for your product or service or information, and are comparing your site to that of your competition, are going to be able to tell which sites have content that's been "spun" and which sites were written by someone who is truely knowledgeable and passionate about their topic.

Personally, I won't buy from a site that hasn't been written personally by a human being unless they haven't something else going for them, like a household name, or personal recommendations from a several friends.

To promote 100 site, you will need software to help ease your work. It is not just doing it manually and could get what you want.

I wouldn't recommend trying to market 100 sites unless you have a staff or bevy us subcontracted humans to manage them all for you.

Keyword would be "claims" in that sentence. There is no way 1 person could ever run 100+ website of any quality. I had 10 sites at one time once and it was impossible to manage them. Now I am down to 3 main sites and it is much more doable.

So in other words, quantity does not equal quality or more money for that manner.

"then you hear someone that claims they have 100+ sites making money...marketing just one site can absorb so much of your time, much less 100 sites?"

If you're an individual person, marketing ONE site correctly is a time consuming process. You can with an effective system market a portfolio of ten high quality sites. A 100 would require staff/outsourcing to do correctly.

More staff and oursourcing is required for multiple sites marketing, it's better to indentify your core business and you need to put most efforts into it.
