For those of you that manage more than 10 or so clients, do you use any system to automate new orders/billing/suspensions/support tickets ? if so, what do you use?
Hey @sundaybrew i've actually been hosting on the side for people that I know since i got my dedicated server back in 2007 (when some dude put a tattoo of my website on his arm and traffic went crazy!) .. I've slowly been putting more time/effort into hosting as well as getting people setup with their own websites, fixing websites, learning how to generate online income, etc, and such.. I'm at the point now where I needed something to keep up with new orders, billing, etc.. It looks like WHMCS really is the clear winner, and I've already got it up and running.
@Tearabite awesome !! Have you ever read this book? http://www.temposystems.com/docs/first1000.pdf Its really good I hope you kick ass! God bless and hope you have been well
WHMCS is simply the best, very intuitive and gets the job done when managing a lot of clients. They update it regularly with new features and security fixes. All though all this comes with a price, if you buy it straight from WHMCS one license will cost you $16 or $19 (brandable or unbrandable), but there are many hosting providers that will just give you a WHMCS license for free or a very low price with the purchase of one of their products (eg: a VPS purchase or a reseller package purchase) Another option would be boxbilling.com, it's a free billing panel, I've personally never dealt with it but I've heard it's pretty decent.
Have used WHMCS myself. Pretty easy to use and filled with options. The styling for it is also straightforward, since it allowsy you to edit various .tpl files, so there's pretty much freedom to design.
WHMCS looks to be the winner for those reselling web hosting or running a more advanced web hosting operation.
I have a turnkey reseller that handles so much for me. Makes life easy for management in general. WHMCS is the way to go, otherwise
