How do you manage portfolio of hundreds of sites and is it worth it?

    Read in other thread, http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=1681410&postcount=3 a forummer had 900 sites.
    Can those with hundreds of sites share what you do with them?
    Run them using automated tools? Or outsource it? Or just park them and develop only small %? Do you make money with such a big portfolio?

    So, I'm also having ~1000 websites. They are run either automatically, outsourcing or maintained using automated tools.
