How do you make paypal anonymous?

I would rather not give out my personal information, including name, to paypal buyers. Is this possible?

If not, would 2checkout be an alternative?

 

all you do is give out your e-mail otherwise its pretty much anonymous. They see your name I think thats it.

Whenever I buy something from someone using paypal I get their name.

Example: "You sent a payment of $15.00 USD to Joe Blow"

How would Joe set it up so his name is not sent to the buyer?

 

Yes, you can create a paypal business account..But business accounts allow you to do business under a company

 

I think it is pretty much difficult. If you're not going to reveal your real name, how would you withdraw the money to your bank account? The name on the bank account should match with the name on your paypal account in order to withdraw money via paypal. Then you would have to create a new identity itself in the new name.

it is not possible with personal account .you should upgrade to business account to protect your name and all other personal information from buyers.i think you use other payment processes such as viritual credit cards..they are not real credit cards but you can hide your personal details

The only way you can do it is via a PayPal Business Account, then it is the name of your business that is displayed to customers.

The name is shown to customers for security reasons. If I am on a PayPal site sending someone money, I want to make sure I am sending it to the right person and by seeing that person's name or business name ensures the money is going to the right place.

Even sending money by Western Union, the sender needs your name... I don't really see how someone can send you money via a third party processor and not know any details about the recipient.

 

I Think no matter if anyone knows who you are... except you had a bad reputation on the internet.. maybe..
But, try paypal business account.

The advice you've gotten so far is spot on. You can use a business account to set your name and contact info up so they don't receive your personal info.

 

using a VPN allows to make payment online anonymously and securely. I would recommend using one of VPN providers like Privatoria or PIA

 

Well with personal acount you cannot do this but try instead a business acount

 

make a new paypal account under a fantasy name and receive money there. then regularly forward money to your real account.
change fantasy account before you hit any limits so money does not get stuck
