Hey, How do people generate opt-in email lists? I know someone who does email marketing, fully within spam can regulations and everything and has like a 2 million opt-in email list. How do you get into that?

Are you kidding me?? An Opt-In list with 2 million people, come on that has to be a joke, only a company like Google would have that many. I know some guys with a list of 200,000, but they have been building them for like 10 years. Any ways you build a squeeze page, that offers some kind of free product, then tell them to put their names and email address in there, then they get the free product. 2 millions does sound fishy.. there may be gray hat marketing involved.. or "list swap" that is when trade with another list owner and get opt in through partnership marketing... it is doable... then if you take out a banner ads and give something away for free you could sign up 1000s emails over night.. it is possible .. just saying
