Once you have subscribers you need to keep posting on a regular basis and have those subscribers coming back. About the making money part: it really depends on the topic of your blog and how many new visitors you have. If your topic is paid well in adsense and most of your visitors are new visitors then adsense is the way for you. Otherwise you'll have to sell PPM ads.
