How should I go about creating a list. I have eBooks for sale on eBay and want to market them through a list. Do you have one and how does it work for you? Thanks everyone.
At first, join in some autopresponder srevice (say aweber), create Opt-in form for your website, and get traffic for your website and then you get more leads for you.. Do all types of marketing, say SEO, adwords, facebook, video, twitter etc.. Hope it helps..
My guide List Building A-Z is what you need my friend. Usually it sells @ $10 but right now i am selling the next 25 copies @ $5. If you are quick you can grab one of the reviews copies which i am offering at $2.50. It has everything you need. Explains the full process from domain names, web hosts, auto responders to how to promote, where to source good content and how to find products to market to your list. PM me if you want more info or follow my sig link to the DP thread. Either way good luck
There are popular automated services like leadsleap and list for life. Just promote your referal page
Use autoresponder - Aweber. An autoresponder is the first essential tool for building an Email List as allows you to send automatic follow up emails to your subscribers, track your results and broadcast your subscribers.
I suggest you go with imnica mail, google it. Probably the best and cheapest out there. Otherwise you need to get a mailing server setup and a bunch of ip's in rotation and you better hope your data is good.
Well besides the people here that are trying to sell you something, what I would do is go to aweber or Get Response unless your looking to doing something free than look at Mail Chimp. Then from there I would create a new campaign inside of a weber, get response, or mail chimp Make a new web form and grab the html code then post this code on your website or blog drive traffic to your website Maybe even create an freebie like "sign up for my list and Ill give you this eBook for free" then build trust with your new list then once you feel they can trust you send them your ebay offer
As suggested, you build a list by having people "opt-in" to your newsletter series. Go to Aweber, set up a ligthbox or opt-in box and place it on to your website then work on the SEO to bring traffic in. I suggest you add an incentive to signing in to your newsletter series list, like a free report or an eBook. Once you have built a list, marketing products will be easier.
a lot of people say "drive traffic" as one of their steps, but the question is "How???" How do you drive traffic... right? Well, and this is just from personal experience, it WILL vary for everybody! PTC (paid to click) advertising like Adf.ly for example, which is exactly the one I like to use for the moment could get you a few, to a couple hundred sign-ups per campaign. But you have to make sure that your landing page meets up with their T.O.S. which honestly isn't that hard to do. Just visit the site and check it out. And no I'm not affiliated with them in any way, I just happen to like their service for SOME things... not all. A big chunck of that traffic will be junk, but for $5 you could get thousands of ip's thrown at your page and a handful of those are bound to be real people who might be interested in what you have to offer. It's worth a try in my book.
to drive traffic to your opt in page, create a few threads on various forums giving your sign up link with a free eBook or something like that. You won't get 100's of signups but you might get a few
I'm working on building a list as well. I'm been doing some research on it and the most important part seems to be the squeeze page. You need a good call to action and something that people will want to download - or a reason for them to sign up to be on your list.
You are definitely on the right track. An email list is going to be essential to the survival of your online business. It is your “customer†list. If you come across anyone who says email list are not necessary…. Run for the hills, get as far as you can away from their advice. Once ‘you’ have a customer list no one or no “thing†(like a search engine algo update) can take your income from you. Sorry, I digressed a little… Here are the steps to get a profitable email list started: 1. Get an autoresponder account. Don’t skimp here. Go with a name brand like Get Response or Aweber. Some of the less expensive ones will end up costing you in the long run due to your emails landing in your prospects spam folder. 2. Write down a clear picture of who your ideal customer is. Who most would want your eBooks. Not who would ‘need’ them or who you ‘think’ needs them. But what is the ideal profile of who would want your eBooks. This exercise will help you take yourself out of the equation in the next step. That’s important to your success and here’s why. We as Humans have this thing called an ego. Need I say more?? We always think we know what someone else wants and we’ve got all the answers. But that’s not true. If we are good at what we do we may in fact have what they ‘need’. But, most of the time, we rarely get what they want. At least, not on our very first marketing attempts. Market feedback eventually dictates what they want. You don’t need the answers from your perspective. You need to figure out what ‘they’ - your market - want, then give that exact thing to them. And I do literally mean “Give it to them.†You’ll cash in later in the relationship. 3. Now that you know who would want your product you should have also determined why they want it. Now turn that ’why’ into a mini version of your product. Being that you know your own products better than anyone, you can determine what that mini version is to be. Put that mini version into a free offer on a simple squeeze page. Give away this mini product as a ‘gift’ or ‘bonus’, call it whatever you feel your particular market will respond to, in exchange for their email address and voilà ! You’ve just started to build your very own email list.
Great advice...An email list is absolutely essential if you want to make a substantial amount of money on the internet. Now, here are some ways that I build my list up: 1. Ad swaps 2. Facebook Ads 3. Mobile advertising 4. JV Giveaways 5. Forum Sigs 6. Submit articles to article directories 7. Linked In 8. Twitter 9. Buy solo ads to other's lists 10. Traffic exchanges/safelists (only certain ones are good)
Offer a free cheatsheet on the topic of your ebook(s), get them signed up to your list via Aweber.com etc, then send them daily tips from the books you want to sell with a link and call to action to buy the full book at the end of the email.
