Submitting articles to blogs. How exactly does this generate links? As you can maybe tell....I'm new to this!
Basically i'm using Article submission, blog commenting, link exchange, forum posting and directory submission
You post links into the articles you submit. Your links are embeded into the blog posts. You use your keywords as the anchor text of your hyperlink. If you need more clarification, please feel free to ask.
To make keyword links, you simply hyperlink your keyword to the site you are promoting. If I was promoting wikipedia with the keywords "Go To Wikipedia" the html code would look like this; <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page">Go To Wikipedia</a> You see, if someone were to click on "Go To Wikipedia", it would take them to wikipedia's home page. Another example is Forum Signatures - If you see mine; "Build Unlimited Backlinks" are my keywords and it takes you to My Seo Link Vine affiliate URL. The keywords you are hyperlinking can also referred to as your "anchor text" . I hope this helps some of you... No question is too silly, not here to judge, here to help
Thanks very much..... I now understand how to write it in html, that should be easy enough to do on my site - I can do it on xsitepro (which I used to build it) if I go to Source. How would I do it with a link to my site on somebody's blog? I don't see how I can write the html code on their blog? I'm sure it's pretty simple, but as I said, I'm totally new to this, and 52 - you can't teach an old dog new tricks!!!!
But that will just come out as normal text if I just write it........ do I have to write the anchor text in html somewhere and then copy and paste it? Maybe I need to find a site that explains everything for total dummies.... know of any?
E Z PEASY I believe e zine is the way to go, new in article marketing but now have several articles on e zine. You'll notice in time that other sites will use the article, then they'll suggest to read the whole article which takes the visitor back to your article at e zine. This then builds the link popularity of that article of which all points down to that nice tiny author statement at the bottom. I had a site once and did multiple robot submissions and things, it sucks, the best thing is quality and unique, keep things fresh and submit one nice article a time. Good luck, getting stuff accepted in e zine now after only 2 days.
I have had good success submitting articles. A few have been picked up by other sites and then you get more links.
When you start out with a new website, it's best to do high-quality, manula link building and article writing. Once you're established you can get away with more blackhat stuff.
