I'm curious how people here have learned how to do tasks related to business online and how people wish they could have learned them. I'll be quite grateful to anybody and everybody who lets me know what their answer is.
hi, we have our company product software developed and which related to exports. It was at first very much tedious like looking for online customer through various sites, keep constant postings, unrelentless follow up and simultaneously keeping our own site updated. Once we were established with our contacts, it is no stopping for good business. keep pm.
I'm not asking how I should learn, I'm asking how you learned and how you wish you could have learned.
I spend years learning by my self every information I could find on forums, blogs, websites, paid ebooks and videos. I wish I had followed a mentor earlier so I could avoid all that mistakes and shown me the correct way from the beginning.
When I started I signed up for every email list that I could find and then immediately started to pare down the list based on the noise ratio. If they sent more offers to buy the latest wonder product than useful information I dropped their list. I also make liberal use of Google Docs. I copy the important snippets from the emails that I receive into Google Documents and annotate them with my ideas and any results from implementation of the idea. This gives me a living and easy to access database of ideas and thoughts. Hope this helps. gary

There are technical skills needed to operate online. Where did you learn those? (SEO, web design 101, etc.)
