I am still waiting for my blog to have a page rank of 1 - are there any softwares or programs to keep track of how close you to achieving something like that?

How long did it take you to achieve a page rank of 1 and then a page rank or 2, if applicable?

Download Google Toolbar and it'll show the page rank for every site that you visit.

There is no way to find how close your blog is to a PR. Update the content frequently and get more backlinks on a regular basis. PR will fall in place. For me i got PR2 by 6 month from the creation of my blog. You may check. Its about car racing games.

I have that already. I just wondering if there is a program that keeps track of your progress.

That's the answer I was looking for - thanks. I do post at least one post a day. In the past several days, and I post on dofollow forums and blogs everyday.

Even though the Google Toolbar may show a PR0 for your blog you could already be PR1 or PR2. The Toolbar PR (TBPR) is only updated once every 3-6 months typically. It is just a snapshot of what your 'real' PR was a few weeks before the last TBPR update. So you're looking at history. By the time Google publishes a new TBPR update, the numbers are already out of date.

There is no way to know how long or how many links it takes to get to TBPR=1. Your PR is based on how many inbound links you have and how much PR each of those links passes you (which is based on the PR of the page that links to you and how many outbound links that page has). So it takes a different number of links for each page, no 2 pages every really have the exact same backlink profile.

As long as you're continously adding site with Page rank higher than your site's Page rank you should be close to increasing your Page Rank. Your PageRank is calculated as follows: Mean of all Page Ranks of the sites linking to you. E.g: PR 1, PR 1, PR 2, PR4, PR0, PR9 / (divided by no of links= 6) = 2.83 ~ PR 3.
