How do you know that your site has been 'banned' by a search engine?

    And, upon checking some archived files, I have learned that *I* was the one who added the <html>, <meta>, etc. tags to the php script...

    Maybe I was up too late that night...

    The original programmer deserves no blame! I sabotaged my own site! :)

    Thanks so much for your replies to my thread!
    I am wondering if you can have a look also at my site & tell me if it has be banned or not regarding your opinion: 'free-emoticons.net'! It was ranked nr. 1 in MSN Search for several months. Regarding my findings, site is not indexed & only showing few back links as a result!
