How do you know if your site is being spidered?

    I'm trying to tell if I'm doing SEo correctly, but I have no idea if spiders are coming to my site in the first place. I have analytics installed and that's about it. Does analytics show you spiders? if so, where?

    Googles Webmaster Central will tell you when their spider last crawled your homepage, and to what level your site is indexed. http://www.google.com/webmasters/.

    Mine says;
    Googlebot last successfully accessed your home page on Jan 9, 2008.
    Total URLs: 1254
    Indexed URLs: 572

    It'll give you a rough idea how you are doing...

    Hope it helps,

    kma
