How do you know if your being smart priced

Recently my click price has dropped dramaticly from $3 or $4 to $0.40 per click.

Am I being smart priced? I'm close to reaching the payment threshold, does that have anything to do with it?

    Thanks

New sites will run for an initial period of time before smart pricing may kick in. Smart pricing is based on how your sites convert compared to other sites running the same ads.

A drop in click payouts can result from fewer advertisers bidding, advertiser lowering bids, advertisers that had been targeting your site, stopping their ads, increase in foreign traffic (which generally pays less) or smart pricing.

It has nothing to do with reaching a payment threshold. If you site is new to running adsense, then it is likely smart pricing. Smart pricing is recalculated weekly, however, there really isn't anything you can do to increase what you are paid.

I see. Guess I'll have to keep working harder to get the site bigger. Thanks

May be less number of advertisers bidding for the terms found in your blog. Thats why price is so low.
