Can't you set up to be paid in Euros?

Personally I'd put my money into the UK pound at the moment; it is expected that China is going to try to lower its reliance on the US dollar, this could force the pound to $2 from $1.93, once it hits $2 it should have momemtum.

(Just an opinion, please see your financial advisor ;)

going back, to not putting your money in a bank; I think it will be safer there and you can earn interest to. Why not just open a dollar account up at a bank?

Well, don't you get your money transferred to your Romanian account? I believe Romania is not yet a EU member so you have to hold in Romanian currency. I remember a couple years ago it was $1.50 to a pound. This is hurting UK besed peopel because when adsesne earnings are transferred to sterling, it is not as much as it would have been.
