How do you increase your impressions?

Man I can't understand it. I have some websites which get more traffic than others, yet they don't get as many adsense clicks because they don't have as many impressions as the sites that get less traffic. How can I increase my adsense impressions?

The easiest way to increase impressions is to increase the amount of ads on a page. You can have as many as 3 ad units + 1 ad link unit.

I appreciate the advice. I will try adding more ads. One other problem I've seen is sometimes when I have more than one ad, Google only shows one ad. Why is that?

That usually means there aren't enough ads that are targeted for your content.

Sometimes, Google can't find enough relevant ads for your page. Usually, given some time (where the page doesn't drastically change) the ads will get filled in.

OMG, this whole time I thought it was a maximum of 3 ad units (including text/image and link ads). Now I see that it can be up to four with a maximum of 3 text/image ad units. Duh! Off I go to do some tweaking...

you can have two adsense search too. So it will make it 6 adsense on one page.

But I've heard that flooding your site with adsense ads can actually bring your revenue down... So you wouldn't really recommend putting 6 units into a single webpage, would you?

yes of course. I just put one adsense unit on each page. I don't have much impression but the CTR is higher.
