1. Having a unique selling proposition 2. Compelling web site / landing page (for advertising) 3. Great customer service Keep in mind that conversion rates differ by industry, but single-digit conversion is usually the norm.
Just keep things simple and clear. Funnel your visitors to details. Don't overwhelm them with everything on one page. On your main page, use a solid sales quote, quick description of services/products and link off to more information on products or services. You don't need to make a sale on the first page, you just need to get them interested to get more information or easily see what they are after. If you get targeted traffic, then visitors come to your site for something. Navigation is key to make sure they easily see what they are looking for and get to more information for it. Don't overthink conversion rate optimization. Keep it simple and look at a site from a customers point of view.
Test headlines - 80% of the effectiveness of any ad (or article, for that matter) will be down to the headline. Most people will read a headline, but they won’t read the rest of an ad/article if the head doesn’t pull them in. Focus on strong, compelling, yet realistic (don‘t BS or exaggerate) headlines - the rest of the copy, although important, is secondary. I think a great source of inspiration for headlines is popular magazines. Look at titles like Psychology Today - these kinds of mags have superb teaser copy, expertly written to draw people in and get them to buy. They’re well-worth your time and study.
Headlines are important for ads or articles, not converting visitors into sales. Headlines can only help get initial attention. A good headline is not 80% of the reason someone buys something. If someone is selling a service or product online, then the price, reviews, trust factor and description/features of the product or service all are much more important than a headline.
To increase your conversion rate, it would depend on your ad copy, as well as a number of factors, such as your audience, your traffic source e.t.c
I recently read that we should 1- Pay a lot of attention to feedback 2- Customize your landing page depending on where your users are coming from 3- The key to any successful affiliate marketer is analytics. Any idiot can tell that if you spend 2$ to make 8$ that is the win. Putting the analytics in place to give you those statistics is what separates many successful and unsuccessful online marketers. Hope it helps
A good headline, in and of itself, is not 80% of the reason why someone buys something - that’s not what I said. I said that 80% of the effectiveness of an ad is down to the headline - simply because it’s what (hopefully) gets people to read the rest of the ad. If they don’t read the ad the other elements you mention (reviews, price, etc) can’t do their job. Here’s what David Ogilvy had to say about headlines in Confessions of An Advertising Man: “The headline is the most important element in most advertisements. It is the telegram which decides the reader whether to read the copy. On average, five times as many people read the headline as read the body copy. When you have written your headline you have spent 80 cents out of your dollar. If you haven’t done some selling in your headline, you have wasted 80 percent of your clients money.â€
To increase a conversion rate quickly you can start with a PPC campaign. The ad created by you should be more attractive and eye catching.
3 parts for great conversion1)Spilt Test2)One focus per page. Don't have tons of various links on your page. More than 2-3 actions on a page and you start overwhelming your prospect3)Have a solid follow up system for those who don't buy today
