I have been testing my product's conversion rate with adwords. I'm very new to PPC marketing I set the max CPC as $0.40 so that I can get clicks faster and I can optimize the site faster. However, the quality score of some of my converting keywords are mostly poor and ok. As a result, i receive very little clicks, like 0-1 clicks per ads group (not keyword, is the entire ads group), and usually it takes about 1 week just to make 1 sale. I have included the kw in my ads title, as well as in my body. And, my sales page also have the kw in the title tag and in the body. For instance, one of the converting ads is : KW : [how to detox your body] Clicks : 5 Impr : 538 CTR : 092% Avg CPC : 0.41 Avg Pos : 6.9 Conversion : 1 Quality Score : Poor Ads : How To Detox Your Body Step-By-Step Guide To Body Detox Eliminate Toxin & Restore Health May I know what mistakes have I done and how can I improve the quality score? Thank you, Rick
Obviously you don't know the magic secret to quality scores, lol. It takes some people years to figure it out. This is the answer. Provide quality material on your adword's landing page and it keep it relevant to your desired keyword and terms. Google doesn't look out for the advertisers like it does its users. They want you to provide quality helpful info even if you are trying to sell something.
There are many factors to take into consideration This is Google basic formula to a good QS Ad Rank = CPC x Quality Score 1 Watch your CPC (cost per click)- Bid high on certain keywords and you may get a higher quality score. 2. Get good CTR (click through rate)- more clicks per keyword this will improve your quality score. 3. History - If your ad is old and has been around for awhile and if it gets a high CTR and if your content is relevant to your landing page, you will have good QS 4.If for some reason you QS is bad and you are tempted to change your ad, never change the target URL, if you do this google will reset your QS back to zero '0' 5. Ensure your ads match the content on your site. Have good material on your site, this includes related articles or links to other websites on the same topic. 6. Invest some time in your landing page too -Include About Us link, Contact Us link and relevant content to the search query, plus unique content. Try and get some unique content on the page too, if you use PLR articles rewrite them or else google will punish you. 7. What is the stickability of your landing page, if 80% of your visitors spend less than 10 seconds on your page..google will punish you. 8. How fast does your page load? - Compress your images so your page load quickly, plus you have 7 seconds to play with before your visitor clicks away from your site and thats bad. 9.Organize your keyword groups- If you have 20 keywords in a group and 12 are getting clicks and making sales, delete or move the 8 losing keywords not converting into a different ad group. I hope this helps, there are more, some google will never let us know.....
Hi, thank you for all the tips. My product page has links link like contact, faqs, disclaimer, privacy policy et cetera. And, the content is highly related to the ads. I'll look into other tips and try to optimize my product page better Thanks, Rick
