Reveal what you want... But I am wondering:

How you guys do your research to find a niche to make a website on?
    What makes a Good Niche?
After finding a good niche would you buy an aged domain or start a new one?

I just started this whole making money online, and I just with Affiliate Marketing. I though adsense on one of my sites and liked the steady income. Now I am looking for a more profitable niche.

Every niche can be profitable. The first question you should ask yourself though is, do I like this industry? Am I interested in writing articles and promoting products for this niche? If you don't choose a niche that is of interest to you, you will most likely be jumping from one website to another and making a few dollars on the way, while if you would focus on one website or several websites that you enjoy, it would not be hard to write articles and researching that industry. Perfection or expertise in one field is way better and beneficial than being an amateur with 100 websites. It will also show in the numbers.

When researching your industry you need to ask yourself what people want and why do they want it? What are their problems? If you know the problems of people you can provide them with solutions in the form of affiliate products. However most of the times affiliate products should not be placed on the same page as adsense, because adsense can distract your visitors from clicking on the affiliate offer which pays way more than an adsense click. That is especially true if you are reviewing a certain product or industry. If your affiliate products is just a secondary target, adsense should be okay.

It doesn't really make a difference if you buy an aged domain or create your own, because once you change the content that is now completely different from what it was before, the serp value will drop also.
