1. Go to the Google AdWords Keyword Tool and input the first big seed keyword on your list. Hit Search. After the results are displayed, filter them down by clicking "Phrase" under Match Types. Export/save the data in an Excel CSV (you can use Open Office Calc for the same purpose if you don't own Microsoft Excel). 2. Load up Keyword Optimizer Pro, its free, u can get it on google and input the same big seed keyword as you used for the first step. Set it to Google only, High Search Level, and run the program. Once finished save results to a text file. Depending upon the keyword, this step will generate 2,000+ keywords for you just from pressing a single button! 3. Go and download Keyword Ninja from any forum.. then install it on wordpress. Then Open wherever you installed Keyword Ninja and again input the seed keyword. Set it to scan Google/Yahoo/YouTube/Amazon, and check the "2nd Level" box. Run the search. Once it's done export and save the Excel CSV file. Usually Keyword Ninja will provide another 3,000+ keywords for you depending again upon the popularity of your main seed keyword. 4. Take the separate keyword results of all three services and copy the results to a single Excel sheet, combining them in one column. Use the "Remove duplicates" command to get rid of keywords that two or more of the services found, usually just 15-20% of the list will be dupes (which is amazing when you think about how you generated thousands of keywords in just 10 minutes and so few of them are copies of each other). 5. Copy all of the keywords from your Excel list into Market Samurai's Keyword Research section. Set Market Samurai to display keyword data for Total Searches, Adwords CPC (AWCPC), and SEO Comp (SEOC). Set to Match Type: "Phrase" and Period: "Monthly" with No Filters. Click on Analyze Keywords and let MS do its thing. For 5,000 or more keywords it's going to take a bit to get the results, around a half hour. Once it's done, export the results in an Excel file and save. 6. Open the exported Excel file of Market Samurai results, and sort data by SEOC, ascending (from lowest value to the highest). This is the fun part of the process. Scroll down the list to find the best 18 keywords through this keyword formulas: A. 6 x "Dream Keywords" that have 5,000+ monthly searches, and up to 500,000 SEOC phrase match competition results. B. 6 x "Realistic Keywords" that have 2,500+ monthly searches, and up to 250,000 SEOC phrase match competition results. C. 6 x "Easy Keywords" that have 1,000+ monthly searches, and up to 50,000 SEOC phrase match competition results. Hope This helps.. I read this in a book and I implement this everytime and so far I ve done good work in keywords of my 10 odd clients..
