Hi everyone, I want to create a review website of motorcycles and add a blog to it. However, I'm uncertain as to how to request to use copyrighted images from corporations such as Yamaha or Honda. Does anyone have a template that they use that works? Also, how much can I expect to pay to use images? When a company does a press release of a new product such as a new motorcycle, I'll see those exact images on hundreds of websites/blogs. Would these images be free to use then or would I still need to request permission? Thanks!
You need permission to use them. Just use the contact info on their sites and hope they respond. If that doesn't work you can always take the pictures yourself, use stock image sites, or use flickr.
