I see alot of threads on here with people saying that they want to sell their site yada yada yada and its 2 months old and is getting 5000 uniques per month or even 1000 unqiues per day etc. I've been struggling since early november and im at about 500-600 unqieues per month which is not really very much in the way of adsense clicks. I'm targetting a mildy competitive keyword, Expert guides, but it only receives on average around 3000 searches a month. So if I was even to hit the no 1 spot It would like still not be very muich traffic (i'm currently no 9) and I had to fight like hell to get to where i am now. Obviously I need to look at targetting more competitive keywords with larger searches but when i do my homework they are EXTREMELY competitive with ppl showing things like 40k -100k links etc. Just take a look at the term Free Articles. 900 searches a day and truly competitive. Yet I stillr ead about these people with sites up for 3 weeks earning $100 a week etc and 1000 uniques. I wonder is there some secret to organic traffic that I'm missing? I mean I do onpage optimizationa nd then just start building links. I just cant understand how some people can do it that quickly. I know this is a bit of a rant but I guess SEO can be a little Despearing sometimes. How have you all managed to push through ???
Its all about the keywords they are targetting and some may very well create good websites where there had been no websites earlier and also there may be lot of searches per day for a particualr keyword they are targetting so they may be getting a lot of traffic!
