I was wondering what kind of techniques you guys are using to create websites with over 100K pages? I'm building a dynamic website myself, but don´t see how I can ever make this kind of website. Altough I know it´s not necessary to have this amount of pages to be succesful, just curius how you guys do this. Greetz Smetten
In a word, TIME. Just keep adding content and eventually you will have well over 100 pages. It really doesn't take too long. If you only add one page per day of content, you will reach your goal just after 3 months. It just takes time.
The OP wasn't interested in over 100 pages - they were interested in over 100,000 pages of content.. So by those calculations it will only take 3000 months..
Try creating useful databases of things related to the site this helps. Eg if you had a site about golf courses each course has its own page so 1000 courses adds up to 1000 pages. Give users the options to browse courses by country, by county (or state), y course type or by the first letter of the course and you straight away can double the number of pages to 2000. Create another database of hotels and then you can do the same with this, link the 2 databases so you can see hotels nearest to golf courses and golf courses nearest to hotels and you will end up with 4 times as many pages. Make sure all the pages have unique content, titles and met tags and you are well on the way to a big site.

Actually I have none yet, I bought www. fastweightlossguide.com And right now I'm in the process of building one. As you probably guessed from the domain name it´s gonna handle the weight loss theme... I know that´s a fairly saturated market but I wanna take my chance. I learned lots of tips & tricks about seo, linkbuilding, etc... here on the digitalpoint forums. I'm sure that´s gonna play in my advantage. Smetten
OK, if you are into weight loss you could do a database of loads of different foods with the vitamin and fat content. Interlink this with another database of vitamins and the foods they are present in and you will have a load of pages.
Why would you want 100,000 pages anyway? There are plenty of sites out there with only a couple of thousand pages at most but are still relatively successful. Obviously the "easiest" way to get that amount of content is to setup some forums and get people posting, although it will still take quite a lot of time to get to 100,000 pages.
I agree. I don't think you need 100K pages. The most important thing I have learnt from this forum is the quality of the content. Good content will help people find you naturally via search engiines. I'm new to some of the SEO concepts on the forum but I would definetly vouch for good content.
