   OK I've read the rules and I know bumping isn't allowed, but I see posts get up by themselves, without posting in or editing the thread. So how actually to do it?

   There is a bump/edit option for threads which are eligible to be bumped. Regular members may bump one thread per month. When a thread is eligible to be bumped, you will find the bump option appearing just before the edit option at the bottom of the opening post in thread. Once you bump the thread you may edit the thread with updates.
