How do you grow your forum

How do you drive traffic to your forums and get people to post there?

 

If your post is empty and no-one is posting yet then try to create some fake-nicks and start a discussion yourself. Then if someone else see's your blog will join

 

The best way to grow a forum is to invest some money to advertise it. Believe me, it will be worth it. First make some posts yourself, using different names. Then create an ad campaign, ad watch the traffic flow in.

 

Yes of course the second thing will be to advertise it

 

I did it by word of mouth
Lured people to get things they were interested in

 

I guess one of the easiest ways to get new members to your forum is to send an email to all your contacts and friends, and ask them to join your forum. Also one good way to reach an audience, is to participate in other forums, you need to interact with the people there and have a good time.

 

None of my contacts feel online money making is a reality, they only picture it as conning people.

Takes a long time. Offer visitors of your site something free for joining and posting on your forum.

 

I've seen some people pay others to promote them, or to post there.... you could go on other forums and let them know you're up and coming. Use google, etc.... there are TOO many ways to list

 

I think If your forum is designed properly and advertise properly then you can easily grow your forum... It takes long time but surely you can grow it.

 

create a facebook fan pages with your forum keywords....attract fan to your pages as many as you can...when your facebook fan grew up...promote your forum link....

 

If you have a niche topic or theme for your forum, you should try advertising on those topics on social media groups and other sites related to the same public.

 

You should first hire a few friends to post in there with a limited budget.. maybe start social media and bookmarking to generate more traffic to your forum.. and join in those community which related to your niche.

 

Advertise your site, word of mouth, Ebook, forum, blog all of these can be best Platform to grow your forum

post something like a guide or tutorial and post the link at other forum or website that has something similar with your forum.

 

You're going to need lots of traffic dude, lots.

 

I've heard that there are some site that pay people to visit and post to that forum.

 

hire poster , many of them to keep posting every day

 

Im starting a new forum myself.

So far im trying to gather few people who will post everyday and then start promoting it after there are good threads to read.

The idea is to have a niche forum and not something thats all over the internet.

Then im sure people will engage , particapate etc.
