I am a bum marketer. All i do is write articles. I want to get more traffic to my landing pages, but dont want to do PPC. What else do you do to get some extra traffic? I have recently created a blog: http://runyacaronwater.blogspot.com but It hasnt been ranked yet. I was wondering what are somemore ways to get automatic traffic besides articles, blogs, and yahoo anwsers? Thanks for your help DP
You say you're a bum marketer... yet you're not bum marketing. There's more to it than articles. Read my report in my sig.
you need to learn SEO and try and get some organic traffic!! Articles will NOT get steady income all the time!! You need to do SEO on your blogs like bookmarking, linking to another blogs, commenting in forums to build backlinks to your blog to get good SERPs results
If you are talking about SEO then articles is the most effective way to do it better ! SEO without content = nothing
I do SEO too. Nothing better than free traffic from Google. I agree you need a lot of great content though. I also do PPC. There is no reason why you shouldn't pay for traffic if it makes you money.
This is my model: Links from other sites > Main website ranks for product name + review < links from social bookmarking Articles rank for other related kw's linking to the main website So in this case the main site would be http://runyacaronwater.blogspot.com/ and you want that to rank for some type of review then get lots of links from articles which are showing up other related kw's and then have social bookmarking coming in.
here's some non-ezinearticles.com traffic ideas: 1. squidoo, wordpress, blogger, usfreeads, hubpages, etc. 2. social bookmarking. 3. youtube/other video sites. 4. other articles sites - particularly distribution networks like ISnare & SubmitYourArticle 5. forum signatures - don't spam your links, just put 'em in your sig.
I get most of my traffic from 'News Aggregators' like NewsNow and several other sports sites and forums.
Okay... so now I know. I will never ask a freaking question on here because every single thread like this gets bullshit answers. Article marketing and SEO go hand in hand... you use articles as an SEO tool. You can't say "use SEO not articles" because as articles are focused on bringing search engine traffic - it's the same thing! Then you get more links from web 2.0 sites, simple.
