How do you get the top links included in the search results

When you are in the first position, I've noticed certain sites have a menu listing of their top links under their url. They seem to be sites with high PR value, maybe and above. Does anyone know how this works? Do these sites enter in this information into google sitemaps or somewhere else? Do they provide an XML file to google?

It could be in their google sitemaps.

But probably, Google knows hits wise what the biggest sections are.

If more then 2 pages from the same site rank in a row on top thats when google does that small list.

If you have multiple pages of your site that are closely related to the search term and would show up in the same search then google lists those together. I have a few where my main page shows up first, a detail page about the topic shows up second, and a forum post shows up third.

Its for authority sites only and its completely automated. you can't do anything to affect it.
