My motivation is not static. I can't spend more than a few weeks on collecting content to a site before I get bored, the same way why I can't work everyday on getting backlinks(which bore the hell out me too much early.. only a day consisting of submitting my site to 300 directories can make me hate to submit sites to directories the next day). The problem is that I get new ideas to start new sites or doing something else in the life. But this is a weakness when it comes to SEO right? As a good SEO you should have the patience to create links over time. However, I love to code using PHP and can do it the whole day a few months without losing any patience, but it isn't usefull when it comes to make money in a short time so, I don't.
You could always pay for submission, that is always my method Their are really good deals as price per amount of directories submitted too even here on DigitalPoint. The drive is what you need; it is what keeps us moving; but you have to find it on your own. That want to continue; and to push on. That my friend, comes from the inside
I outsource all the stuff I get bored with..(mostly creating links, article submission, directory submission)..I just feel like Im wasting my time with those... But the real motivation in doing anything right now for me is having the money to pay for my university and going on a wonderful vacation with my family..
