I got a site about making money on the web and a couple of adsense ads, banner on top and a tower on the side. I know that factors for ads on a site are determined by google based on content, traffic, etc., but i was wondering if there is ...more or less... a certain way you can present factors that will help get the high priced clicks. Thanks
Hi Eric, You're right about content. That is the main factor. But there is a way that you can influence what Google thinks is the content of your page. It's a function called 'Section targeting'. By placing a very simple code (two html comments in fact) around the right part of your page you can suggest to Google that that part is what your page is all about. Google will give more emphasis on this part to define the content of your page and will serve their ads accordingly. So the trick is to optimize this part (e.g. the first two paragraphs) for the keywords that are important to you. This brings you to the next stage: how to define which keywords are within the scope of your site and are highly paid. There's a lot of info on this subject in all kinds of forums on the internet. You can use Yahoo (Overture) of Adwords Sandbox to find them. But you can find a wonderful way to make this a lot easier on seoprotoolz.com (look for an article called Profitable niches in under 10 minutes). It really helps me. Well, I hope this helps a bit. Good luck!
