Just created a few squidoo lenses and a hubpage (really different, simple ways to put a very basic site together) enjoyed the experience. But I'm out of ideas on how to get them noticed. They are basically, extremely shortened versions of my site and I can see the marketing potential of these sites but can't think of a way to give them a kick start. Does anybody out there have experience with these type of sites and can they pass on some wisdom on how to promote them in the websphere?
If you search DP you will find a wealth of information on Squidoo as well as arguments for and against the site. I am nearing 300 lenses there, so my views on it are obviously good. A good Squidoo lens is like any other web project, mostly a matter of hard work and adding content. Once you get a lens to rank well, the traffic is constant, targeted and reliable.
There are tons of ways of getting the pages noticed. Join fan clubs, write on squidoo blogs and forums, asking the experts for reviews, social submission, dir submission and many more.. You can also create backlinks or (link the squidoo/hubs together. Its not that difficult if you have some kickass content on the pages
well squidoo is a place where people talk abt just anything. As long as your content is unique and make sense , it should do the trick. And ofcourse, unless you try to create a lens, you wont know whats missing and what needs improvement. Good luck
