How do you get banned from Digital Point

I have noticed members being many times since joining DP, often it is difficult to tell how these members got themselves banned.

It would be a good addition to the forum if there was a facility in place where users can see why a particular member was banned (much like the option for giving a reason for editing your posts).

Also, how exactly is it possible to be banned when members can make posts like this http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=513522 and still don't appear banned??

I think the policy needs to be clearer for all.

Why? It's no one else's business but the staff's and the user who got banned. I anyone is really that curious, they can ask the banned member.
Just curious, but why should that user be banned? Because you can't afford his site or...?
It's pretty clear. Follow the rules and you won't get banned.

A lot of people are being banned for making posts saying "PM sent". I agree with that rule though, it is not needed to write that.

Well,to tell the truth you will be banned once you collect 10 infraction points and these infraction points that you get are due to non acceptance of dp rules by any dp member

Evidently not by repeatedly scamming people if you're a 'senior' member.

The infraction sticky in suggestions and feedback lists the infraction member's can incur. The posting guidelines in the FAQ spell out what is expected of each member. By reading and following the rules, members should be safe.
