When you search some companies in google their search brings up not just their URL but also some related pages on their site below. How can this be achieved and do you have to pay google for this service.
I don't know. Our company has a listing like that. I have no idea when it happened, we didn't have one last time I checked. But then last time I checked our site was outranked by several directory sites, now it is #1.
I have thousands of webpages up. Often I get extended listings when I am in #1 position. I don't pay for it and I don't know why it happens. Most keywords used by my customers put me on the first page of Google. And most of those land me in #1 spot. So, it is possible that is the reason for the extended listings.
It took five years but remaining on top five for my searches caused my site to be listed that way. Not sure if these are personalized results or not.
Are you talking about site links. These are the 6 or so links below your main home page link on the first result. Google will do this automatically and you can control it via webmaster tools. You can remove site links, but not create them.
