If this were how to get a forum off the ground the answer is easy, pay $100 and get someone to create 200 posting of something, but auctions.. You kind of have to have the itme or you are going to be in some hot water when nothing can deliver. I have a site, Used Car Auction Site that I really want to end up selling to a car dealer, but I wouldnt mind also having people be able to put up free auctions to see how that goes for awhile. Any thoughts?
auction is hard. If I can recomend, quit while you can. it almost impossible. Dont waste your time and money. If you have money, we can partner and do something that will bring you money.
does anyone agrees with this?? I am process of setting up an auction site as well.. should I invest time and money in it.. did anyone had success with auction sites?
I guess it depends on your niche. I mean if something like Yahoo auctions can't succeed, I don't know how anyone else can...
I would not try to start out with such a broad site. Find either a car niche or a regional location and figure out how to pull ads from ebay based on a certain criteria. If i were doing something like that i would choose a location like California and pull low riders or collectible cars
Thanks for the comments. My intention really is to show a local dealer how this could be used and sell it off. And amedia this is exactly what I did. For each type of car (well single word cars - I didnt get too heavy into the programming yet) it shows ebay auctions...
