Hello all! I've written an affiliate page for a natural sleep aid, now I need to figure out how to use it to earn some cash. I found a great site on the subject (it's the first hit when you google "affiliate program tutorial"). But the approach it teaches takes months to implement (basically, creating a useful website with numerous useful articles.) I want to pursue that method BUT... Are there any much quicker ways to get an affiliate page making money? Sure appreciate your help! Scott
Yes, signed up for it, got my affiliate url, have clickbank account, have a domain & hosting. The domain is www. my name .com . I'll be using it to sell my business copywriting services. Figured I might able to use the same domain to display the affiliate page/letter I just wrote...
PPC is the fastest to get traffic and start earning money, but also you may lose money if you do it the wrong way... Top 3 PPC programs: 1) Google Adwords 2) Yahoo Search Marketing 3) MSN Ad Center But I strongly suggest you don't rush into making quick money, because you may turn up losing a lot instead... Rome was not build in a day, so it takes practice to perfect your skills...
Hi Scot, I think writing a lot of keyword-rich articles and submitting them to article directories will help you with more exposure (and hopefully, sales). You may not be able to make hundreds in your first, but if you can keep at it, it usually pays sooner and is very useful for passive income in the lung run as your articles get more exposure and traffic. By the way, you won't be spending a dime to get traffic. Just my two cents. -Muhammad
Eric and Muhammad, Thanks very much for your advice! Practical and helpful... just what I was hoping for! One question: How will keyword-rich articles I submit to article directories connect to my affiliate page? Can I embed links to it right in the articles?
1) You go on a similiar site you like for a similair product which is a proven seller. You copy that page, download it, edit it in HTML and reword it, replace everything with your own text and images....and sooner or later chnaged it to your own site (ok, this is bad....like in "bad" bad ... 2) You look for PLR packages, people sell them here on DP really cheap...(or look for them on Google) those come often with complete sales-/pitch pages. You just pick one you like and modify it, your keywords, descriptions, texts, images etc... 3) You use a program like Xsite Pro which is relatively easy to work with and create a typical affiliate page with it. Since you only sell a product you vrey likely only need a pitch-page and a thankyou page....so "copying" another site and modifying it is not that big a deal, really. Edit: NEVERMIND, you already HAVE a page..... Yes..now comes the nice part of marketing....social bookmarking like digg, netscape (propeller), stumbleupon etc..etc... You could also buy traffic and submit articles as the others recommended.
First find good affiliate. Then you can use AdWors, link building, pr networks and ect.. to popularize your affiliate site.
The obveious way to get any website up and makeing money is to take your advertising offline. Run ads in weekly periodicles, news papers radio or what ever you can afford. I don't know why this strtagy is forgotten, It makes me more money than online advertising ever did. If you want a good free online ad source try 6.66ghz.com
Different directories have their own rules and regulations. You need to check it out at their respective sites. I believe most of them have a "resource box" where you'll be able to put some description about yourself or your site and tag a link to it. As for embedding the link right inside the articles, most of them only allow you to do so if the link you're directing is related to what you've wrote, the link may not be a direct affiliate link and/or it cannot exceed certain amount of links allowed. I don't know about you, but bum marketing is a long and tedious process, and it's not for anyone who don't have enough patience. Also it depends on your speed and skills of writing an article. Some people can produce 2-3 articles in hours, but if you're like me, probably 3-4 hours is the fastest to come out one, then you may need to consider hiring a ghostwriter. Because with that amount of time, I can better use it for generating more traffic. I can go on and on, but here's a few quick pointers... Get some good books on bum marketing, read them up and start practice what you've learn. Just write and submit the articles, you'll learn more along the way. Ezinearticles.com is the only directory you'll need, because the rest doesn't guarantee you any results and I feel that you can do other better things than to spend your time on them. Be patience... it may take you at least 1 to 2 weeks for your articles to get approved. Cloak you affiliate links, please! I hope this helps and good luck! -- Eric Tan --
