How do you get Adwords clicks into customers taking action?
We own a very small garage door repair company. We advertise quite a bit on Google Adwords. We are paying $1000 month (ppc) but we aren't getting potential customer calling us after they click on our ads. We just need some other ideas on how to get phone call. Thanks.

You've got to have a landing page that shows right away what people are looking for when they visit you. You got only a few seconds and if they don't feel you're right for them, they just won't call you and go to the next guy. If that happens and you paid for the visit, your ROI suffers.

But I'd take a look at your keywords first. $1000 a month for a garage door repair service, I assume a local service, seems awfully high to me. If you use keywords that are too broad, you'll get unwanted impressions and unwanted clicks. Unwanted impressions don't help your Quality Score and unwanted clicks is just wasting money.

You need to make sure you are giving customers what they are looking for. Don't talk about you, your history, your company vision and mission etc. Give them benefits of going with you (not just the features); use bullet points to talk about your service; use strong calls to action (call now!), use strong testimonials, put aesthetically pleasing pictures of your product on the page; offer an Internet coupon if they call today; use a scarcity tactic (limited time offer.....); put a click to chat function on the site; make sure your Adwords ads are consistent with your offer on the landing page.

You do need a landing page for that Google Adwords. Because content of landing page is the one that increase the CTR and conversion rate.
Add on more information and powerful call to action in the landing page which will help you .

    Hi jasonsmith,

Looks like you need to work on your landing page. Include a clear call to line action and check for the loading time of your landing page

The destination page of your adwords ad must have quality content. The following are the important things you need to consider to design a page

For example your keyword is "garage door repair in xyzcity". The following information must be available for the users

    1. What are the exact services your provide which are related to garage door repair
    2. Tell about your expertise in that service
    3. The areas covered in your service
    4. If possible mention the minimum charge / charges to provide the service
    5. Contact information
    6. LAST BUT NOT LEAST MAKE SURE YOUR WEBSITE DESIGN IS GOOD

In my experince i can say "If your customers are able to find all information they want without contacting you by phone call/email thats the ideal Search Engine Friendly / User Friendly / ROI Making Web Page"

    Hope this helps..
