How do you get a screenshot from an flv file?

    So assume I downloaded a file from youtube and I want a screenshot of the flv file.

    How do I get it?

    (Running on Vista so no FFMPEG and co)

    You have three options, one is to use ffmpeg. I use both ffmpeg and php-ffmpeg (getFrame function).

    Another is to take a screen shot of the flv playing.

    Or you can use myVidster. Create an account and cut/paste the url to the flv in the video posting page and myVidster will create three screen shots for you.

    I have always used irfanview.. it can take a screenshot of anything :)

    download vlc media player.you can take shots of the videos you play with that.best of all its the best media player to have.
