I am looking at investing in SEO for my site, and specifically I want someone to help with linkbuilding rather than the onsite optimisation right now. I've advertised on ELance and the responses I have had have been really poor, not even relating to the fact I'm not currently interested in onsite SEO. How do you find people who are going to be able to create and run a backlink strategy that is still really cost effective?
From what I have seen you will have to spend several hundred dollars a month to get good seo from someone. I have found it best to just outsource the writing to good writers on elance and submit that to article directories and web 2.0 sites, and manually do some link building myself.
I's have to agree with this. There's not that many people out there who wants or knows how to build plenty of good backlinks for you. So your best alternatives is: 1. Contact a professional. 2. Find someone with toold such as SEnuke X that knows how to use it correctly. 3. Let someone write article for you and then spin them and submit to article directoires. The more you let the person working for you do, the more it will cost.
I'm sure there are qualified people out there but I have not found them either. For me, doing it myself is the way to go.
If you can it is always great to do it yourself to save money. Try to focus on quality links through unique content on web 2.0 or article directories. I use a particular service that can usually rank top 10 with less than 50 links that is along the lines of article submission that I use for my clients. Remember to focus on quality over quantity.
I don't know whether you are aware or not but now a days Google seems to be quite strict on articles being distributed like you are suggesting. This method is no longer working. Still best link building method is to get one way links from authority websites with relevant content. Links should be region specific as getting links from all locations may get you rank but for searches specific to countries from where you get maximum links.
Contextual links are good but it should be from websites, not from article directories or blogs. But its hard to get your content placed on your competitor or relavant category websites so best way is to get one way links on high Page Rank websites with relavant content.
consider the experience , consider the tools used , consider the results they provide then you decide on.. all the best
Thanks guys. So, it seems like the overall feeling is that you should be linkbuilding yourself. If I'm doing that the strategy I'd consider would be: Finding blogs that are relevant and offering them interesting stories. Finding websites that are relevant and offering them content. Creating great content and telling other websites about it as link bait. Does this seem like a sensible strategy?
Better make a contract for your site taking some positions in Google, like top 5 in 3 months, for example. Don't make a contract just for linkbuilding because it's very difficult to control such a process.
