How do you fill a Directory?

    Hi, I'm doing a research on Sites/Blogs and I was wondering how to get a lot of urls. How do you fill your directory? Do you just wait for people to fill it? I saw dmoz is giving away datas, but they have a license for that and I'm just a bit afraid of that.

    Submit your directory to Directory Critic, and if you accept free submissions, then you'll have a few hundred submissions in a few days ;)

    Why would you like to fill up your directory? you'll just end up with a bunch of spammy sites, less sites you have the more people will pay to get listed...

    If you are serious about your dir...

    1. Promote the hell out of it
    2. Run specials
    3. Promote the hell out of it
    4. Be picky about the sites you list
    5. Promote the hell out of it
    6. Be honest and fair with everyone
    7. Promote the hell out of it

    2. submit to Directory Critic
    3. then come back and ask how to manage/ edit directory submissions :eek:

    Actually I don't have a directory. I just want the content of a directory. Actually you could give me yours :)

    I am not creating a directory (yet). I just want urls.. what's the best place to get urls? Directories! :)

    With a little promotion a free directory will soon be filled with hundreds or thousands of submissions waiting to be approved.
