    Hey y'all,

I'm new to the forum, and I hate to admit it but new to selling sites!

So , please go easy on me! lol

I have several sites I'd like to list for sale but have a couple of questions I need answered first:

    1. This may sound like a stupid "newbie" question but.. How do you figure out what to sell a particular site for & what it's worth?

    2. Are we allowed to list sites that don't include the domain name?
I have several I made and a few I'm currently making that I just couldn't decide on a good domain for!

There was a third one, but I can't remember it right now, it'll come to me later> lol

I really appreciate any info. you have for me that can help me make an imformed decision!

    Thanks,

    Hi,

You already have 28 messages, so you have some experience using this forum.
    1) site cost depends on

    a)it's age
    b)PR of the site
    c)income
    e)number of indexed pages
    etc)

    2) all sites are allowed to sell)

I've used the free service from dnscoop.com in the past. I find it overestimates the 'true' value of a website (what someone is actually willing to pay on the market). I usually take it's evaluation and figure 1/3 to 1/4 of the price is the real selling point.

    Hi Sol,

Yes I just got my selling permissions this morning!YAY!! lol

OK, let's say I have a content site with unique written content on aparticular subject.

The site is brand new, so no traffic yet, and no SE listings obviously, so no income either.

But the sites have a ready to go forum & blog,

I love to design sites, and write anything, so the more the merrier!
I especially enjoy designing landing/squeeze pages, logos & graphic headers etc..

So I will me building a lot of different types of sites, and probably will end up selling them, so I can feed my hunger for more! lol

    I hope that helps.

Basically I was wondering if there is aguide I should follow as far as asking price, sstarting auction bid, & what is to high of a BIN

I don't want to make the mistake of putting too high of a price on it or not putting enough, I'm sure you understand.

    Thanks,

    Thanks Smithers,

    Excellent (Taps his fingers together)

Are there any free appraisal sites you'd consider?
