Depends on who it is and how long they plan to stay.

If it's my parents I never have a problem with it.

If it's a friend and I'm busy, I usually ask them why they didn't call first. Then I get them a beer and tell them to hurry up and drink it and get out!

I generally do not like people, so they just don't get to come in. Don't answer the door, unless they see you of course...

Don't have that problem. No friends to speak of and no family we bother with.

For the most part I usually don't answer the door unless I know somebody is coming. It's not that I'm afraid to answer the door, but rather I'm afraid of which fool I don't care to associate with is on the other side. :D

The worst offenders are the ones you can't get rid of unless you literally throw them out. I've had family members (among others) who would just show up unexpected, and no matter how much I hinted they wouldn't leave. By far the worst thing is when the intruder is really nosey so you can't let them out of your sight for a second. I remember when I was a teen, my aunt and uncle showed up one day while everyone else was out. I told them my parents were out hoping they'd leave, unfortunately that only made them even more determined because they knew that the second I left the room they could start snooping through everything.
