Note: Investments in the PayPal Money Market Fund are not insured by the FDIC. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Although the fund strives to maintain the value of your investment at $1.00 USD per share, it is possible to lose money by investing in the fund

What are your thoughts of it?

I'm sure we make way more risky investments compared to this. It all depends on how much anyone is investing into the money market.

No money market fund is guaranteed by the FDIC. Money markets are based on the stock market, and while they are VERY little risk, they are still not insured. Money markets are about the most conservative investment there is. Although I wouldn't recommend using Paypal's money market. I did, and they limited my account for some bogus reason which froze my funds for 180 days, and no I didn't get interest during that time.
