Always sucks to see an American company go overseas, I never bought the brand personally, but I hope their infrastructure stays in the states at least.

Well, I'm not a swill drinker, so the loss of the A-B beers don't matter to me. In fact I can hope that their new owners will bring some German beer making knowledge and improve the A-B offerings. That being said, the theme parks have always been fun and I would hate to see those get negatively impacted by this.

Oh, as for the cultural impact of losing an American icon, I have never considered Budweiser to be an American icon or a even really all that American of a product. I realize that it is made in America, and it still employs a great many Americans, so on that aspect it is sad to see it go to foreigners, but the world is getting smaller every day.

InBev is known for running businesses to crap...

And about the workers...I believe over half of them are being laid off. My fiance father works there and he was first told that if they sold out that he would keep his job...now he doesn't know since they increased the bid...so now they have to cut even more jobs.

This is really bad for the St. Louis communities...so many people are going to be out of work. AB was the icon of STL...no one here can believe that 150 years of FAMILY owned company just sold out...we are all pretty pissed.

I would be pretty pissed too. It's almost as if they had no respect about their company's heritage.
