How do you feel about a Nuclear Armed Iran?

It seems Iran is storming along the path to developing nuclear weapons. Anyone who believes that Iran is merely enriching Uranium for peaceful purposes has rocks in their head.

I suppose if I were muslim, I'd be ecstatic, since the goal of islam is world domination. As a proud dirty kaffir though, I'm far less enthusiastic then AGS or Briant will be.

I feel perfectly fine with a nuclear armed Iran. Iran has not invaded any country in the last 100 years. Iran is not an imperialist country. Their nukes are simply a way to make sure that they do not end up like Iraq, a country invaded by the US because they could not defend themselves.

Exactly how i would feel if all mentally ill people were issued machine guns instead of a spell in the security of a psychiatric ward.

Exactly, it is for weapons not energy!

If it prevents them from being illegally invaded by corrupt bullys like Iraq was then it can only be a good thing.

Look at the disasterous state of Iraq after the illegal US led invasion for all the proof you need.

The problem arises that Iran probably won't be a responsible nuclear nation - this is evidenced by the way they have habitually flouted the will of the international community thus far. We can't uninvent the wheel or close the stable door after the horse has bolted - they've got it now, so I suppose we'll just have to keep a close eye on it. Bombing, although my personal preference, isn't going to happen without UN authority - that's probably not going to happen.

AGS i 100% agree on that but at the same time, you never know about this guy. While it is true that it is the fault of our government that he is even in power(mossadegh time mag man of the year 1951) we have got to make the best of this current situation.

I think the main worry is Iran has shown a particular friendship for terrorist groups - freedom fighters or whatever you like to call them. The problem is no-one believes Iran would only use them for self defense - the fear is that will give suit case nukes, maybe even car nukes and smuggle them into cities and boom - Oh it wasn't us - no that was Israel-Zionists and the Great Satan trying to pretend it was us, - they were in our sea space sort of crap?

Don't get me wrong here - I know the U.S. lies all the time, in fact any nation or politician lies are a necessity - i.e. even ancient greeks knew that - "only rulers should have the privilege of lying". The problem as I see it is in the cold war what stopped them dropping the bomb was the MAD theory - that theory only works if the other side fears death - I'm not sure the nutters seeking the great Jihad are afraid of death, some just can't wait for their 70 virgins and rivers of milk and honey.

Are you confused? The youth over there wants freedoms of the west... They are pro-American, not nut case.

Poor AGS... Sad that his terrorist buddies are "illegally" attacked.. Could you say anything more stupid today?

The overwhelming response in the pole to what Britain should do regarding Iran was "Nuke em!"

I do believe that was the connection Briant was trying to make.
